Story: As the famous Senator Kyle Stevenson considers his options – a bid for the Presidency? pursue the office of Governer? – numerous followers wait with bated breath, hanging on his every word. His father, former General and former Senator Jacob Stevenson, would be proud, if the very son he endowed with power through exposure to top-secret military experiments hadn’t killed him for revenge, spite, and pleasure. Jacob Stevenson cheated nature, but he couldn’t cheat death.

The good Senator, you see, is more than a normal man. Endowed with the ability to feed on psychic energy, he grows ever-stronger the more devoted followers he has, and uses his narrow but potent mental abilities to gather ever-greater numbers to his cause. At peak strength, he becomes nigh-unkillable, and few can resist his charismatic entreaties. He does, in fact, enjoy a remarkable political career, but he dreams of more.

Senator Stevenson founded the Cabal as his personal criminal empire, bringing in useful allies. He believes he can easily persuade them of the benefits of his own plans when needed. Besides, the clean-cut, handsome, diplomatic Senator from New Jersey couldn’t be seen in a super-brawl no matter how badly he needs raw force.

He made an exception for his father: after twenty-four years, such sweet revenge on the papa who tore out his soul and replaced it with the endless hunger for adoration. And while adoration is a fine entree’, there is something to be said for horror as desert. The generous public attention and condolences were but a further treat.

Stevenson masters his criminal empire as The Chairman, devoting his spare time to manipulating the situation to benefit of both his public and priovate personas. As a powerful Pennsylvania politician with national influence, he denounces violence and crime and urges more public control over superhumans. As the Chairman, he has the means to create chaos, and suppress it in order to make his anti-gang task forces look successful.

Appearance: Just dashing enough to attrract women, and but strong-jawed in a way that appeals to men, Senator Kyle stands out in a crowd. He always dresses in a smartly-cut suit, but nothing so expensive as to attract envy or suspicion. He’s of mixed European/Hispanic ancestry, and makes sure to present himself in a manner that appeals to his current audience.

Role-Playing: You are confidant, charismatic, and always in control. Look people in the eye and offer them a firm handshake. Even as The Chairman, you exude confidence, always organizing and directing others.

Advancement: Upgrading his multipower reserve will definitely make him a force to be reckoned with, as will reducing the rate at which it weakens.
