First up for today, it’s the next section on Modular Cyberware for Shadowrun: Holdouts. Holdouts are fairly simple: they’re internal compartments, and are mostly pretty small. The fun comes in when you start putting stuff in them, since the number of devices which can be placed in a holdout is pretty large. In fact, the vast majority of communication, matrix, and speciality electronics in Shadowrun – as well as some weapons – can simply be turned into custom cyberware by taking an appropriate holdout, applying the “Sheathe” modifier to fit it to a particular device (if desired), and rebuilding the item in question to fit.
