Villains Revisited

This time around it’s the character sheet for Flenser – a psychotic protoplasm-manipulator who viewed everyone around him as mere masses of flesh to be toyed with for his amusement and who liked to create his powers to create his own subordinate supervillains. It may say it best to note that warrior-demons tended to serve Flenser willingly: he was at least as good as they were at coming up with random acts of brutality.

While Flenser was cast into the pits of hell by the Old Mandate years ago, it is never wise to assume that supervillains with his power level are permently gone – especially when you’ve cast them into an area where they presumably cannot die.

So what you’re saying is he’s waiting to return in the next plotline after having deposed Satan himself (the real one) in a final grand battle that will tie up loose ends regarding the current plot, take care of Anthony’s old character somehow, and destroy half of New York?

  2. Not really: The ultimate powers of evil are far more universal than the relatively minor entities concerned with humanity – and there are numerous different entities claiming to be the REAL “Satan” running about. As for “Anthony’s old character”, if you mean the original White Necromancer he’s passed on to higher realms, and is a bit beyond the reach of the powers concerned with earth. As for destroying New York – Flensers powers never did have any effect on most non-living objects.

  3. Aww, you mean you’re not going to screw the characters with their predecessors’ decisions again by having him pull a “strike me down and I will become more powerful than you could ever dream”? I don’t believe you. :3

Other-Anthony. Earth elemental powers from Atheria thinks he’s Satan.

That doesn’t mean he can’t collect minions or large explosive devices.

  4. Oh, they knew that Flenser might be back with additional demonic powers as soon as they banished him: there just isn’t any chance of him deposing “Satan Himself”. As for Anthony’s old character, the most likely one to “take care of him” at the moment is Kimai. Kimai has the mental power to overturn his current delusions.
