When the Hauntsman visited the higher planes, he barely made it back. It was hard indeed to resist the siren call of unity with the infinite.
He did manage to return however, and to discharge the vast energies he’d absorbed standing at the gates of creation without destroying the galaxy.
He did, however, retain enough power to grant Lahatiel – an entity the Hauntsman had become friends with – a semipermanent anchor in the material world.
Perhaps sadly, Lahatiel has been having trouble there; he’s not used to ideas like “compromise”, “necessary sacrifice”, “lesser evil”, or “toleration”. His judgements tend to be swift and absolute – a tendency which has meant that his friends have to keep a careful eye on him.
Fortunately, experience will – eventually – bring wisdom.
Lahatiel, Angel of Wrath

Story: Servants of the celestial powers, angels are more than a bit standardized: they may have extra powers to suit particular purposes, but their basic nature is – of course – perfect… Unfortunately, they don’t normally fit into less abstract realms very well.
Appearance: Angels often appear as slender, winged, creatures blazing with celestial light, but appear in many other forms.
Like all the characters in the Emergence setting, Angels are allowed a slice of cheese – in their case that major attribute aid power. Sadly, since they don’t have as many disadvantages as demons, Angels are far more difficult to summon.
